Avus Performance Does the Audi S4

A new aftermarket tuning proposal for the latest Audi S4 sport sedan has been released by German tuner Avus Performance. Starting with the engine, a series of modifications and upgrades that include a custom exhaust system help bring the 3.0-liter supercharged V6's output from 333HP to 430HP.

In order to improve handling, the German tuner adds a new spring kit as well a new set of lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels that are wrapped in 255/30 Hankook Ventus S1 Evo sport tires.

Exterior changes are limited to the front grille and spoiler, and rear diffuser that are simply painted in a shiny black shade. Alternatively, these parts can be ordered in carbon fiber.

As for the interior, Avus offers buyers the choice of various leather finishes and a variety of carbon fiber trim parts.

AVUS Performance Eyes the BMW M3 Coupe [Updated]

Update: In a rather weird twist of events, we received an email from Active Autowerke, a BMW tuning company based in Miami, Florida, claiming that the BMW M3 featured here was not developed by Avus Performance, but by Active Autowerke and Vorsteiner. In fact, the US firm's Director of Sales and Marketing told us that this is his own personal vehicle.

For the record, we received these photos along with a press release from Avus Performance's media department, while the car is also featured (without any license plates though) at the German tuner's official website. We sent an email to Avus Performance and are awaiting for their response. We'll update this story as soon as we hear back from them.

In its latest tuning adventure, Avus Performance has turned the wick on the BMW M3 Coupe with a new package that includes subtle styling and performance upgrades. The exterior kit comprises of a previous-gen M3 CSL-style boot lid with a carbon fiber spoiler while the same material is used on the new front lip spoilers.

On the performance side, Avus added a sport exhaust system and modified the M3's suspension while the kit is rounded off with a set of 20-inch ADV.1 lightweight alloy wheels available in numerous finishes that are shod in 245/30 R20 tires up front and 295/25 R20 at the rear.

AVUS Performance Launches 450HP Audi TT RS "Ur Quattro"

Named after the legendary, original Audi Quattro coupe of the late 1980s, AVUS Performance's take on the new TT RS Coupe sees the car's 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-five receive a 110 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque bump thanks to the modified turbo, reprogrammed ECU and a new exhaust system. This brings the five-cylinder engine's output to a total of 450HP and 472 lb-ft. Avus did not disclose prices for the engine mods.

The German tuners says that acceleration from zero to 60 mph (96km/h) is trimmed from Audi's 4.6-second claim for the stock TT RS to 3.8 seconds on the TT RS "Ur Quattro" while top speed is increased from 174mph (280km/h) to 194mph (312 km/h).

Avus also modified the coupe's suspension with adjustable coil-over shocks (priced at €1,299) that lower the ride height and help the RS handle the corners.

The TT-RS' exterior has been upgraded with a flat-black finish (vinyl wrap) that costs €1,999 and a set of 20-inch Sportec Mono alloy wheels in a glossy black finish shod in 255/30/20 Hankook S1 Evo tires priced at €6,400 but only until December 15, as Avus currently offers a 25 per cent discount on the tire/alloy combos.

Buyers can also opt for a pair of Recaro bucket seats and various accessories for the interior.

Avus Performance Unveils Matte-Black Nissan GT-R with 580HP Upgrades

It's not hard to understand why matte-black is one of our favorite shades for the almighty Nissan GT-R that has been upgraded by Germany's Avus Performance. Using the limited production GT-R Black Edition that leaves the factory in a dark metal gray with a black and red interior as a base, the tuner covered the entire body of the high-performance coupe in a flat black wrap while the 20-inch alloys that are combined with wheel spacers have been finished in a glossy black color.

Performance modifications include a retuned ECU and a sportier exhaust system that does away with the two cats and the middle silencer helping the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine to produce a total output of 580 horsepower and 700Nm or 516.3 lb-ft of torque, up from 485HP and 588Nm.

Avus Performance also lowers the GT-R's ride height through different coilovers offering the car an even more menacing stance.

According to the German tuner, the matte black wrap will cost you €2,499; the coilovers €1,299; the ECU tune €1,899; the exhaust upgrade €998; the painted 20-inch alloy wheels €999 and the wheel spacers €349.

Avus Performance Takes on the Audi Q7

German tuning boutique Avus Performance has unleashed its latest offering based on the pre-facelift Audi Q7 fitted with the 4.2-liter V8 TDI diesel engine. To give the large SUV some extra oomph, Avus Performance updated the software of the V8 diesel's ECU thus boosting output from 326HP to 365HP and peak torque from 760Nm to 880Nm or 649-lbs/ft. According to the German firm, the result is a 0-62mph (100km/h) time in the 6.0 second range and a top speed of 245km/h or 152mph.

Furthermore, the Q7's air suspension has been upgraded with a new electronic lowering module that allows the SUV's ride height to be lowered by up to 90mm.

The package also includes 23-inch alloy wheels in silver, titanium and various other colors, LED daytime running lights, darker tail lamps, black front grille and optionally, a high-end audio-video system with additional monitors integrated at the back of the front headrests.
