Subaru Exiga Crossover Teaser Pictures Officially Released

Following last week’s leak when a scanned picture of the 2009 Subaru Exiga brochure found its way into the net, the Japanese carmaker came out today with an official press release along with two teaser shots of its forthcoming 7-seater crossover. Based on the homonymous concept car at last year’s Tokio Motor Show, the production Exiga will be fully revealed in a couple of weeks, on June 17, 2008.

Subaru’s teaser press release isn’t much of a help, but it seems that the Exiga is some sort of seven-seater crossover/MPV that fits between the Forester and Legacy/Outback models. We’ve also added one more official image of the Exiga after the jump that we enhanced with photoshop. -Continued

KIA to make Special Announcement at the British Motor Show

Apart from bringing all of its latest concept cars like the SOUL, the KEE Coupe and the ex_cee’d altogether in one place for the first time, KIA announced today that it has also chosen the London show in July to make a very special announcement about a forthcoming product.

According to KIA’s officials, the new model is due to go on sale in the UK in 2009 and it will give the clearest indication yet of the design future of the brand as more KIA concepts become reality. The Korean automaker’s UK director Paul Phipott, also revealed that the company will be launching around 13 new or revised products throughout 2009 and 2011.

1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Sold for a Record Breaking $10,976,000

A new world record for the most expensive car sold was set on Sunday May 18th, when RM Auctions, in association with Sotheby’s, managed to auction a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder for a mind blowing $10,976,000 or €7,040,000 (exchange rates on May 19, 2008). The winning bidder was UK radio DJ, Chris Evans. Last year’s record was set by a 1962 Ferrari 330 TRI/LM that went down for $9.3 million -see more details on 2007’s most expensive cars here. -Continued
