SEMA: 2009 Ford Flex by Chip Foose

Even though Ford’s crossover won’t go on sale before summer 2008, that didn’t deter FoMoCo from presenting a supped up version penned by custom car designer and host of the Overhaulin TV Show, Chip Foose. Additional exterior details include painted appliqué door handles and a relocated license plate. “When Ford called, I was quite excited to be one of the first to get my hands on the Flex,” says Foose. “I didn’t want the individual pieces I added to be the most eye-catching parts. I wanted it to look as if it came from Ford’s design studio.”
