General Motors has already officially announced that Saab will have the world premiere of an entirely new concept car at the Geneva Motor Show which shows a further step in its continuing product range extension. Though GM hasn’t released any specific details on the concept, we have been informed that it will be the 9-1X. Today, Saab attempted to enlighten us furthermore by uploading a teaser image of the concept on its official site. Unfortunately, the blacked out image doesn’t allow us to make any assumptions at all on the concept’s appearance. -Continued The 9-1X previews Saab’s forthcoming premium compact hatch that will compete against the BMW 1-Series, Audi A3 and Volvo C30 models. It will be based on the Opel Astra architecture, with engine options including a 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol units.
