Hyundai ix55 Debuts in Paris, Available with New 3.0 V6 Diesel

Hyundai claims that the 7-seater ix55 has been extensively re-styled and re-tuned to match European requirements and driving styles. To put it simple, the Euro-spec ix55’s dynamics have been recalibrated, with updated suspension and a more direct and feelsome steering set-up while the only available engine option in Europe will be Hyundai’s all-new 3.0-litre V6 CRDi turbo diesel. -Continued

Hyundai ix55 SUV 3.0 V6Hooked up with a six-speed automatic gearbox, the diesel engine delivers an output of 240 PS at 3,800rpm and 451Nm of torque at 1,750-3,500rpm. According to the Korean firm, the all-wheel-drive ix55 accelerates from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in 10.4 seconds and onto an electronically limited top speed of 200km/h (125mph), while returning a fuel economy figure of 9.4lt/100km (25 mpg US) on the European combined fuel cycle.

Standard equipment levels in Europe will include suede-covered seats – electrically adjustable for the driver – RDS radio and a high-specification Infinity MP3-compatible audio system, multi-function trip computer, rear privacy glass, blue backlit instrumentation, dual-zone climate control with separate controls for rear passengers, a leather-wrapped fully adjustable multifunction steering wheel and cruise control.
