Audi RS6 Avant Tuned to 650 HP by IMSA

Audi RS6 Avant IMSA 650HPMostly known for its Lamborghini tuning propositions, IMSA decided to join in the Audi RS6 craze that has hit the German tuning scene by presenting a souped-up version of the range-topping Avant model. Modifications to the engine that include a remapped ECU and a new exhaust system boost the 5.0-liter V10’s output to 650 HP (from 580 HP) while torque has also been increased to 745 Nm or 550-lbs/ft. The result is a 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint time of 4.2 sec versus the standard RS6 Avant’s 4.6 sec. According to IMSA, the outrageously powered station wagon can accelerate from standstill to 200 km/h (125 mph) in just 13.8 sec and on to a top speed of over 300 km/h or 187 mph. -Continued

Additional modifications include a lower suspension setting and a set of ultra light 20-inch alloy wheels derived from the company’s tuning kit for the Gallardo that are wrapped around 275 performance tires.

IMSA Creates Carbon-Fiber Bodyit for new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

For some people, not even a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 is exotic enough for their taste. That's where specialized tuners like IMSA come into the picture. The German tuning firm developed a new carbon-fiber bodykit for the facelifted Gallardo which consists of an aerodynamically optimized front apron, larger fenders for all four wheel arches, side skirts and a rear bumper with an integrated diffuser. As is the case with such tuning proposals, the aerokit can be enhanced with a new set of alloy wheels.

IMSA Lamborghini Murcielago GTR Spyder

Lamborghini Murcielago Spyder IMSA GTRFor pure obnoxiousness, it’s hard to beat IMSA’s new Murcielago GTR Spyder. As if the crazy orange color combined with the widebodykit consisting of a front apron, front lip, broadened wings, side skirts, carbon diffuser and rear spoiler along with the massive alloy wheels in shiny black color wasn’t enough of a statement in itself, the tuning folks over at IMSA had to perform their magic on the Murcielago’s interior. -Continued

And by magic we mean orange-colored carbon-fiber inserts by the dozen and diamond-shape stitched leather design and seams corresponding to the exterior color of the supercar and of course, to the overall bad taste of the tuning firm’s design team.

Leaving IMSA’s styling solutions aside, the company’s engineers also developed a performance kit for the drop-top Murcielago that raises the V12’s output by means of several mechanical and electronic modifications from 640 to 708 HP. The result of this is that the Murcielago GTR Spyder sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds (0.1 sec faster that the standard model) and goes on to a top speed of over 350 km/k (+218 mph) compared the stock model’s peak speed of about 340 km/h (211 mph).

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Carbon Fibre Bodykit by IMSA

IMSA, a relatively new player on the Lamborghini tuning scene, has presented a design-package made from Autoklav moulded carbon fibre for Lamborghini's current top-of-the-range supercar, the Murcielago LP640. The carbon fibre aerodynamic kit consists of a front apron (spoiler), widened wheel arches (35mm or 1.4-in. on each side), integrated air ducts on the upper side of the wheel arches, side skirts, new rear diffuser and a new rear spoiler. All parts of the imsa-aerodynamic-enhancement program are either available in carbon-on-sight or can be painted in any color of choice. IMSA’s aerodynamic enhancement program is available from November 2007 on and will soon be available for the "standard" Murcielago as well.
