Ford UK Prices Mondeo with the New Turbo Gasoline and Diesel Engines

For 2010, the Mondeo range benefits from the introduction of a new 2.0-liter Ecoboost turbocharged gasoline engine and reworked 2.0-liter TDCi diesel units, as well as a new six-speed dual-clutch Powershift transmission.

With an output of 203HP and a maximum torque of 300Nm, the 2.0L EcoBoost allows the Mondeo to achieve 0-62mph (100km/h) acceleration in 7.9sec (8.2sec for the estate) and reach a top speed of over 144mph (231km/h) for the four and five-door versions or 141mph for estates.

The 2.0-liter unit comes as standard with the Powershift dual-clutch transmission. Prices in the UK for the Ecoboost models start from £22,095.

Ford has also improved the Mondeo's 2.0-litre TDCi diesel that comes in three flavors with 115HP and 140HP and a new 163HP version. All new Mondeo TDCi models are equipped with six-speed manual transmission as standard, while the dual-clutch transmission is available as an option on the 140HP and 163HP 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi units.

The diesel-powered Mondeos start at £18,995 for the 115HP engine, £19,245 for the 140HP version and £19,895 for the range-topping 163HP unit.

Le Mans GT2 Racer Look for BMW M3 by GTHaus [+ Video]

G-Power isn't the only tuner around offering a widebody racing look for the BMW M3 Coupe (see that one here). Illinois-based tuning house has jumped on the badwagon releasing details of its latest street-legal M3 project fitted with a new carbon fiber bodykit.

Evidently inspired by the Bavarian firm's M3 GT2 racer that recently won the 24h of Nurburgring and will compete (albeit in Art Car form) at the 24h of Le Mans, the conversion includes massively wide rear fenders, a unique front bumper with splitters, chunky side skirts, new rear bumper with air vents, vented hood and a jet plane-sized rear wing. The cost of the wide bodykit is said to be around $12,500.

Along with the aero parts, the M3 also features beefy 20-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes and a new exhaust system producing a race-like soundtrack. There are no engine mods for the time being, but a supercharger kit is said to be in the works.

Chrysler Releases First TV Spot for 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Being one of the most important launches of the year for the Chrysler Group and the first to come during the newly-formed alliance with Fiat SpA, the Detroit automaker is working hard to spread the word about the all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee as well as the change of philosophy in the company.

The first TV spot for Jeep's flagship model is centered around the tagline "The things we make, make us" and according to the Detroit firm, it's supposed to represent the return of American craftsmanship and quality that goes into each new vehicle of the brand.

"The new Grand Cherokee marketing and advertising campaign has been carefully designed to communicate the Jeep brand's commitment to American craftsmanship, the return of personal pride and dedication to producing a vehicle that is truly well-made and beautifully designed," said Mike Manley, President and CEO of the Jeep Brand.

New JDM Subaru Legacy B4 2.5GT tS [as in Tuned by STI]

Subaru's in-house tuning arm STI has added some flair to the latest generation of the Japanese market Legacy B4 sedan and its Touring Wagon brethren. The limited production Legacy 2.5GT tS (Subaru talk for Tuned by STI) models come with various cosmetic and performance enhancements, but unfortunately, no upgrades to the 2.5-liter flat-four turbo engine.

The list of performance goodies includes a Bilstein suspension, strut tow bars, sport exhaust system, and 18-inch multispoke alloy wheels shod in 225/45 R18 rubber.

On the outside, STI's team added a front lip spoiler on both models, along with a discreet boot lid spoiler for the B4 sedan and a roof spoiler for the Touring Wagon.

More attention was paid to the interior of the Legacy 2.5GT tS models as both variants get a revised instrument panel, sport seats dressed in alcantara and leather with contrasting red seams, decorative carbon trim in a titanium finish, STI leather steering wheel and gearbox lever with red seams and of course how can we forget, STI-branded floor mats.

In Japan, the sedan model starts from 4,029,900 Yen (around $44,190) and the Touring Wagon from 4,187,400 Yen (around $45,920).
