These include a brand new audio system with Aux-in, USB-port and Bluetooth connectivity and the replacement of the traditional handbrake with a new electric park brake that frees up space for further storage in the center console, including two 1-liter cup holders.
Chevy said that the refreshed Captiva also features new finishes and textures including all-new seat fabrics and interior décor appointments.

The styling updates bring the Captiva more in line with Chevy's latest creations such as the Cruze and the new Aveo, though we're 99 percent certain that many will see some Mitsubishi Outlander styling DNA in that redesigned front end.
Along with the completely new snout, the 2011 Captiva also gets integrated LED turn signals on the outside rearview mirrors, revised side air-vents, new exterior color palette and fresh alloy wheel designs.
We don't have photos of the interior yet, but Chevrolet says the cabin has been upgraded with new finishes and textures including all-new seat fabrics, an ice-blue back lighting and an improved audio system that includes Aux-in, USB-port and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, a new electric park brake is said to open up space for further storage in the center console, including two 1-liter cup holders.
There are plenty of changes under the hood with the introduction of four new engines that will come standard with a new manual or automatic six-speed transmission.
The new lineup comprises of a 2.2 liter common rail turbo-charged diesel unit available with either 163HP or 184HP outputs, and two gasoline engines, a 171HP 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a 258HO 3.0-liter V6 with direct injection and variable valve timing.
Both, the 2.2 liter turbo-diesels as well as the 2.4 liter gasoline engine will be offered in front- or all-wheel-drive configurations.
Chevrolet said it has also re-tuned the suspension to further enhance vehicle dynamics, improving cornering, roll characteristics and ride feel.
The launch of the refreshed Chevrolet Captiva SUV in Europe is scheduled for spring 2011.
Priced from £27,305 and £28,630 on-the-road for the manual and automatic version respectively, the seven-seater Captiva LTZ features 18-inch alloys and unique rear light clusters.
Standard equipment includes full leather trim with heated front seats, electronic climate control, parking sensors, cruise control, electrically-adjustable driver's seat, automatic headlamp control, rain sensor wipers, and electrically-folding mirrors.
In addition to audible distance sensors to assist parking, the LTZ also gets a reversing camera as standard. The camera operates through the 7-inch satellite navigation unit display screen.
Safety features including ABS, ESC and traction control, front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger, plus roof curtain airbags.
Details remain scarce for now, but it is possible that Chevy might also perform some upgrades to the 2011 Captiva's interior and mechanical hardware.
The same changes will also pass on the compact SUV's siblings, the Australia-market Holden Captiva 7 that's sold alongside its sister model, the Opel Antara-based/rebadged Captiva 5 (known in the States as the Saturn Vue) and the South Korea-market Daewoo Winstorm.

Its sleek yet bold design is accentuated by strong wheel arches and a sweeping feature line that runs from the front fender vent through to the tail lamps. A grey sill finish runs around the vehicle, reducing its apparent height and is interrupted by contrasting ‘undertray’ features on front and rear bumpers. Design sophistication also features inthe cylindrical prism type headlamps, LED type turn signal lamps, turn signal repeaters in the door mirrors and flush fitting, pull-out type door handles.
The wide tailgate with its integrated opening window underlines the practical side of the Captiva. Inside it is spacious, with seating for five and optional seating for seven passengers. It measures 4,635/1,850/1,720 mm (length/width/height) and stands on a wheelbase of 2,705 mm. In five passenger configuration, it offers a trunk volume of 405 litres (VDA method). All seats, including the front passenger seat, can be folded forward and down, achieving a flat surface. Restating a Chevrolet hallmark, it offers plenty of storage space, including a wide net below the instrument panel.
The elegant, fully integrated and flush fit infotainment unit in the middle console aims to provide best in class entertainment. Its features include an eight way speaker system, an amplifier with an output of 4 x 45 watts, an in-dash six CD changer with MP3 capability. Full integration of the audio system also aids security. The console houses the driver information system providing data including Electronic Climate control, outside temperature, compass, average fuel consumption and vehicle speed, and range for remaining fuel. The comprehensive safety equipment includes dual front airbags roof side and curtain airbags, knee bolsters and safety belt pretensioners and load limiters for the front passenger.
Initially, three transversally mounted engines will be available for the Captiva. They include the brand new, state-of-the-art GM common rail diesel engine jointly developed between GMDAT and GM Powertrain. In its first application, the 16 valve unit offers 110 kW (150 hp) at 4,000 rpm and maximum torque of 320 Nm at 2,000 rpm. The combined fuel consumption is 7.6 l per 100 km. Suspension layout consists of a McPherson strut configuration in front and an independent four link design in the rear. Ventilated disc brakes are standard on all four wheels. Four cylinder versions come standard with 215/70 R 16 tyres on 6.5J x 16 inch wheels, while the V6 rolls on 235/60 R 17 tyres on 7.0J x 17 inch wheels. 235/55 R 18 are available.

Alter a long period of wait, Chevrolet previews its all new compact SUV, Captiva. Co-developed with Daewoo, the Captiva retains the prototype’s (S3X) design theme. The Captiva is one of GM’s worldwide car projects as it will be sold in Europe (as Chevrolet), Asia (as Daewoo) and the US (as Saturn).
