Iso Rivolta Marella Design Study Based on Corvette ZR-1

A Russian student from the Moscow State University of Industrial and Applied Arts has revived the famous Italian brand Iso Rivolta through a conceptual design study that was created as part of a "school" project in collaboration with Italy's Zagato design house. Fedor Stetskevich's proposal is called the Iso Rivolta Marella and it is based on the underpinnings of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 - you know, the one that's powered by a supercharged V8 engine cranking out 640 ponnies.

All that in theory of course as the Iso Rivlota Marella exists only on paper and as a scaled down model. Overall we'd say that, while there are certainly attractive elements to the design, we reckon that Stetskevich's study needs more work to look the part.

Geneva Preview: Bentley Continental Zagato GTZ

Italian coachbuilder Zagato will introduce their latest creation based on the Bentley Continental GT Speed at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The Zagato GTZ features several distinct design elements like the concave roof, the rounded tail and a contrasting colour scheme that differentiates it from the standard Continental GT Speed.

Zagato left the Continental GT Speed’s engine and mechanicals untouched, with the 6.0-liter W12 engine producing 600bhp and 553lb ft of torque. For the time being the Zagato GTZ is just a show concept, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the Italian coachbuilder announced an ultra-limited run edition in the near future. –More pics after the jump

Geneva Preview: Zagato releases real-life pics of the Diatto

And the news from the Geneva front just keeps coming on. This time its Italian coachbuilder Zagato who has released real-life shots of its Diatto concept (read more about it here: Diatto). Can’t say that I’m impressed with Zagato’s prototype which pays tribute to the historic Italian car-maker. By the way, is it me or does the Diatto Concept mimic several design elements of Zagato’s one-off Ferrari 575 GTZ that was introduced last year? Via: Autoblog.it
